Invited to compete with the nation's top ecclesiastical designers, Domiane Forte led a team of architects in conjunction with Appleton & Associates, Inc - Architects in offering this winning entry to The Dominican Campus competition for Masterplanning and Chapel Design for Aquinas College in Nashville, TN.

St. Dominic Chapel, proposed to be located at the head of the academic quadrangle, and oriented to the East, is sited directly opposite the proposed library, representing the dialogue of faith and reason so needed in an academic setting, as described by Bl. Pope John Paul II in his encyclical Fides et Ratio

The design draws from regional details from Nashville and outlying areas, American Romanesque design history in the mid-west, and from Rome herself, calling to mind architecturally both the local time and place of the chapel's community, and the more transcendent values  at the very heart of the important Apostolic Constitution Ex Corde Ecclesiae
